- Work within a sewer/watermain crew under the supervision of a foreman
- Ability to excavate for the installation of mainline sewer/watermain, chambers, manholes, services, backfill, and road reconstruction in traffic closures and around exiting utilities
- Specialized in running a 35 ton excavator and knowledge in operating other excavating machines from mini-excavators, backhoes, skid steers, rollers, etc.
- Ability to conduct daily routine inspections, preventive maintenance and minor repairs for the excavator in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer's recommendations
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Construction Projects (Green Book)
