Red Seal Sprinkler Fitter
Silver Valley Fire Protection Ltd. is growing, and we're looking for a Red Seal Sprinkler Fitter who takes pride in their trade and wants to be part of a professional, well-run fire protection company.
This role offers a mix of service, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, repairs, tenant improvements, and system modifications across residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities throughout the Lower Mainland.
You'll work independently at times, support apprentices when required, and represent the company professionally on active job sites.

Responsibilities
- Install, modify, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- Perform inspections, testing, flushing, hydrostatic testing, valve servicing, dry system maintenance, and system troubleshooting.
- Diagnose deficiencies and develop practical, code-compliant solutions.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Complete accurate service reports, deficiency documentation, and repair recommendations.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, threading equipment, lifts, and testing equipment.
- Coordinate system impairments and restorations with monitoring companies, site representatives, and clients.
- Communicate professionally with clients, property managers, contractors, and fellow team members.
- Support apprentices and junior personnel when required.
- Follow all company and site-specific safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Red Seal Sprinkler Fitter certification preferred.
- Experience working on wet, dry, standpipe, and fire protection systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage service-related work.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work at heights and in a variety of site conditions.
Additional Qualifications Considered
While preference will be given to qualified Sprinkler Fitters, candidates with relevant fire protection industry experience may also be considered.
The following qualifications are considered assets:
- ASTTBC registration (CTech, AScT, or related designation).
- Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester (BPAT) certification.
- Experience with fire sprinkler inspections, testing, maintenance, and service.
- Experience preparing technical reports, deficiency documentation, and compliance records.
- Experience with fire protection design, permitting, or system commissioning.
- Additional fire protection-related certifications, training, or technical experience.
