Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, physical stamina for heavy lifting, and a commitment to safety and punctuality. Duties
- Safely operate trucks and commercial vehicles to transport goods to various locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload cargo, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling
- Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues during transit
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any vehicle issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle type
- Proven experience driving heavy trucks or similar commercial vehicles
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for loading and unloading cargo
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Knowledge of safety procedures and traffic laws applicable to commercial driving
- Physical stamina for long hours on the road and manual handling tasks
- Reliable, responsible, and committed to maintaining safety standards at all times
