Sweetwater Group is currently seeking a talented and motivated Breakfast / Pastry Cook to join our growing hospitality team in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about breakfast service, baking, and hospitality to work within a unique boutique hotel and restaurant environment.
About the Role
The Breakfast / Pastry Cook will support daily breakfast operations across our hospitality properties while assisting with pastry preparation, baking, and light lunch or feature menu execution as needed. Working alongside our culinary team, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating thoughtful, high-quality food in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for someone reliable, organized, collaborative, and passionate about guest experience and culinary excellence.
Wage: $19–$20 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Must be available to work mornings, weekends, and holidays. Opportunity for growth within the company for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute daily breakfast service
- Assist with baking and pastry preparation for hotel and lounge offerings
- Prepare coffee service and breakfast trays for guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and food storage areas
- Assist with feature dishes and small menu offerings as needed
- Support food preparation for special events including weddings and retreats
- Uphold food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Work collaboratively with the culinary and hospitality teams
- Ensure an exceptional guest experience through professionalism and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of kitchen experience required
- Experience in breakfast, brunch, or pastry preparation preferred
- Fine dining restaurant experience is considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Passion for hospitality and quality food service
- Flexible and dependable with scheduling availability
