Job Overview
We are a juice processing facility located in the Lower Mainland, producing high-quality fruit juice and puree products for our customers while maintaining strict food safety and quality standards.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will ensure production processes run efficiently, safely, and meet quality standards. This leadership role requires excellent organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage a team effectively to achieve operational excellence.
Duties
- Execute the production schedule to meet customer orders while ensuring quality and food safety standards are maintained.
- Develop employee schedules and coordinate the work of production associates to achieve plant goals and performance metrics.
- Train, coach, and supervise new and existing employees to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Use performance measurement systems to provide feedback to employees in areas including productivity, cost control, quality, food safety, and safety compliance.
- Hold employees accountable for attendance, job performance expectations, GMP compliance, productivity metrics, and adherence to SOPs.
- Manage operations within the production labor budget and report on direct labor usage, production efficiencies, quality results, and safety performance.
- Respond to and manage equipment downtime, minimizing product loss wherever possible.
- Participate in pre-operational audits and ensure any identified deficiencies are corrected before production begins.
- Maintain safe working conditions and enforce workplace safety policies.
- Work with Human Resources regarding employee relations and performance management matters.
- Support food safety programs, quality standards, and regulatory compliance for all manufactured products.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Skills and Experience
- Degree in Business, Operations, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- 2–5 years of leadership experience in a production environment, preferably within the food or beverage industry.
- Experience in fruit processing, puree production, or NFC (Not From Concentrate) juice processing is an asset.
- Knowledge of SQF, BRC, or AIB food safety certification programs is preferred.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
