Complete Utility Contractors is looking for a reliable Mini-Dump Truck Driver / Laborer to support our civil underground utility crews across the lower mainland.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of driving, hauling equipment, and supporting crews on site - Applicants looking for a strictly driving-only position will not be a good fit.
What you will be doing
- Operate and maintain an F550 mini dump truck
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections and documentation
- Haul equipment and materials to and from job sites
- Tow trailers carrying small equipment
- Assist crews with site tasks when required
- Perform a variety of labor tasks to assist site crews as directed, such as shoveling, wheelbarrowing topsoil and spreading out with grass seed placement, grouting and setting manhole and valve castings, etc
- Maintain truck cleanliness, fuel levels, and basic maintenance
- Communicate delays, vehicle issues, or safety concerns to supervisors
What we are looking for
- Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license with clean abstract.
- Experience towing and backing trailers
- Familiar with lower mainland roads and dump locations
- Comfortable working around construction equipment and tools
- Strong communication skills and team attitude
- Safety-focused and reliable
- Ability to work extended hours when required
- Team player who is willing to jump in and help the crew wherever is needed
