Respite Provider (Contract)
Location: Calgary, AB
Calgary Progressive Lifestyles Foundation (CPLF) is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Respite Provider. This opportunity is ideal for someone who owns or resides in a bungalow-style home in Calgary and is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
As a Respite Provider, you will provide support to an adult with a disability who enjoys swimming, bowling, and pets, in your home! In this role, you will help foster independence, encourage community participation, and support social and recreational activities that promote personal growth, inclusion, and overall well-being.

Position Details
Employment Type: Contract, 2 days a month (one weekend a month)
Location: Calgary, AB
Requirements
- A bungalow home located in Calgary, AB
- Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (completed within the last two years)
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting others
- Previous experience supporting individuals with disabilities is considered an asset
- Reliable vehicle and valid Class 5 driver's licence
- $2 million third-party liability vehicle insurance (required upon hire)
- Standard First Aid with CPR Level C certification (must be obtained within three months of hire)
- General Commercial Liability Insurance (required upon hire)
Training
The following training is required and can be arranged through CPLF at the candidate’s expense:
- Medication Administration
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
- Abuse Protocol
- Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
