Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mobile Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in truck and trailer repair and maintenance. This role requires a versatile mechanic capable of performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on customer fleet equipment across different locations within the GTA. The Mobile Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of customer trucks and trailers roadside on service calls and in customer maintenance yards. Candidates with a 310T/ 310J license, welding skills, and electrical expertise are highly preferred. This position offers the opportunity to work in dynamic environments, providing essential maintenance services to keep equipment running smoothly.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on customer trucks and trailers
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Perform repairs utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized maintenance tools
- Replace or repair electrical components and lighting systems
- Maintain detailed service records and document repairs accurately
- Assist with assembly or disassembly of machinery as needed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair or heavy machinery maintenance
- Hands-on experience with welding, electrical systems, and schematics interpretation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with troubleshooting skills
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently in various locations with minimal supervision
- 310J or 310T License
