Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Farm Hand/Labourer to join our agricultural team. This role involves supporting daily farm operations, maintaining equipment, and assisting with crop and livestock care. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to learn about farm machinery and horticulture practices. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sustainable farming and agricultural maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, harvesting, and crop maintenance activities
- Operate farm machinery and power tools safely and efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and irrigation systems
- Use hand tools for various tasks including fencing, planting, and general farm upkeep
- Support livestock care including feeding, cleaning, and health monitoring
- Conduct general farm maintenance such as mowing, trimming, and debris removal
- Assist with loading and unloading supplies or harvested crops
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and operation of heavy equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure proper storage of tools and supplies
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of horticulture, irrigation systems, and farm maintenance preferred
- Experience with farm machinery, hand tools, power tools, or heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks daily
- Good understanding of basic math for measurements and calculations related to farming tasks
- Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Willingness to learn new skills related to agriculture and equipment operation
