Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Boiler Operator to oversee and maintain boiler systems during the night shift. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of boiler equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to monitor complex systems to prevent downtime and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Duties
- Operate and monitor boiler systems to maintain optimal performance and safety during night shifts.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance on boilers and associated equipment.
- Adjust controls and troubleshoot system issues using technical schematics and system design knowledge.
- Document operational data, maintenance activities, and safety checks accurately.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs or system upgrades, utilizing project management skills.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards at all times.
- Utilize CAD, MicroStation, or AutoCAD for system schematics review and modifications as needed.
- Assist in system engineering tasks related to boiler operations or upgrades using MATLAB or GIS tools when applicable.
Experience
- Proven experience operating industrial boilers or similar systems in a manufacturing or power plant setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in electrical engineering principles related to boiler systems.
- Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or CAD software for schematic interpretation and modifications.
- Knowledge of system design, project management, and systems engineering processes is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with MATLAB, GIS, Schematics, and construction-related documentation is a plus.
- Prior experience working night shifts in an industrial environment is preferred.
