As a part of the Events Team, the Safety Ambassador helps to ensure the safety of event guests and team members at Earth to Table: The Farm. This includes but is not limited to keeping an eye on alcohol consumption, organizing shuttles for event guests, and ensuring guests have a safe way home. Once the event has ended, the safety ambassadors’ responsibilities range from a timely teardown and set up of the event spaces, setting up event furniture and décor, setting up and troubleshooting AV equipment, transportation of equipment from one room to another, and other similar tasks. **This role will be required to work late nights.

- You are able to lift upwards of 40 lbs.
- Experience in Security and/or Crowd Management an asset
Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as the primary support for all bartenders and the Event Maître D to uphold Pearle Hospitality's alcohol service standards
- Work directly with event manager to identify signs of intoxication, guests or areas of concern, working to identify problems before they arise.
- Work in tandem with event manager to develop care plan for any guests in the red zone.
- Confirm tasks with Event Manager/ Maitre D and assist with event tear down and reset according to the Banquet Event Order.
- Assist in preparing event space for an event by performing such tasks as: placing tables and chairs, transporting necessary equipment from storage to the event space, ensure items necessary for the following day’s set up details are available and present.
- Help setting up and stocking bars, food stations and beverage stations as required.
- Accept and perform additional tasks as required for optimal performance of the event.
- Actively represent and promote Pearle Hospitality’s core values within the workplace.
- Follow all Health and Safety standards to ensure a safe work environment for all guests and team members.
- Adhere to all cleanliness and sanitization practices.
- Maintain professional appearance and act with integrity and honesty.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Waterdown, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

- Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
