Job Overview
As a Tire Technician, you will play a crucial role in the automotive industry by ensuring that vehicles are equipped with safe and reliable tires. This position requires a combination of mechanical skills, customer service, and attention to detail.
Duties
- Mounting, balancing, and rotating tires
- Repairing punctures and tire damage
- Inspecting tire tread depth and wear patterns
- Assisting customers in selecting appropriate tires for their vehicles
- Maintaining tire service equipment
- Providing excellent customer service throughout the tire service process
Skills
- Proficiency with power tools for tire service tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling tires and equipment (up to 100 lbs)
- Understanding of PSI and Foot lbs
- Experience working in a dealership or automotive repair setting is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge related to tire installation and maintenance
- Strong customer service skills to interact effectively with clients
- Familiarity with basic mechanic tools for tire-related tasks
- Sales skills to recommend additional services or products to customer
- Must have a valid driver license with clean driving record of 3 years +.
