We are open Monday-Friday 9:30am-5:30pm. We are closed on weekends, statutory holidays, Easter Monday and Boxing Day. Our hours of operation provide work-life balance in an evolving practice environment.
Required Skills
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC
- Motivated to practice to the full scope providing all clinical services including immunizations, adaptations, minor ailments, and medications reviews
- Interested in learning about non-sterile compounding or has prior compounding experience. We are open to training highly-motivated newly licensed pharmacists
- Detail-oriented and committed to patient safety
- Able to manage multiple priorities in an organized manner in an established, growing practice
- Excited to take on new challenges and tasks as our business grows
- Strong written and verbal communication skills when interacting with different specialties. Compassionate and empathetic when interacting with patients
- Thorough knowledge of Pharmacare and insurance plan billing guidelines
Job Responsibilities
- Assess, bill, document and dispense medications accurately, ensuring proper labelling according to College guidelines
- Counsel patients on new, refill, and OTC medications
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient treatment plans via fax/phone
- Conduct adaptations, medication reviews, and minor ailments with a focus on patient outcomes
- Provide immunizations and other injection services
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies including lab checkpoints, blister-pack checkpoints, etc.
