As an Ice Cream Shop Clerk at Mountain Outfitters, you bring energy, versatility, and a commitment to exceptional guest service. You’ll prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages, including ice cream, specialty coffee, and alcohol. Whether working behind the counter or interacting with guests, you maintain a friendly, efficient, and professional presence at all times.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of products, including ice cream, pastries, specialty coffees, and alcoholic beverages.
- Deliver consistently high-quality products with a focus on presentation and efficiency.
- Handle opening and closing responsibilities, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Respond quickly and effectively to product or service issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all cash handling procedures and security protocols.
- Work independently and remain productive during quieter periods.
- Consistently exceed guest expectations with friendly and knowledgeable service.
- Stay up to date on all Panorama resort offerings, services, and promotions to assist guests.
Experience/Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous barista experience is preferred.
- Strong cash handling skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable operating various POS and computer systems.
- Positive, energetic, and guest-focused with strong communication skills.
- Able to stand for extended periods.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Must have (or be willing to obtain):
- Serving It Right certification
- Food Safe certification
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in British Columbia
