ESI Technologies is a Quebec-based IT consulting firm with over 32 years of experience in information technology services.
We support organizations in their digital transformation, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, cloud computing, data management, and IT service management initiatives.
As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a Project Planning and Control Advisor (PCO) who is eager to contribute to large-scale projects while developing within a team recognized for its expertise and people-first approach.
Your Role
As a Project Planning and Control Advisor (PCO), you will be responsible for:

Supporting project directors and project managers in project planning, monitoring, and control activities.

Ensuring operational oversight of the project portfolio within the EPM environment.

Developing, maintaining, and aligning detailed project and initiative plans.

Consolidating project information to ensure rigorous tracking of budgets, schedules, resources, and effort.

Producing key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and management reports for various decision-making bodies.

Participating in the implementation and continuous improvement of portfolio governance practices.

Contributing to the evolution of project planning and control methods, processes, and tools.

Identifying risks, issues, and variances, and providing recommendations to managers.

Collaborating in the preparation of project reviews, governance committees, and executive presentations.

Ensuring the quality, compliance, and proper management of project documentation.

Providing knowledge transfer and support to internal teams.
✅ Desired Profile

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration (specialization in Information Systems), or an equivalent recognized discipline.

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in project planning and control within information technology environments.

Experience completing at least one project planning and control mandate for a technology or business project with a minimum scope of 1,000 person-days.

Experience completing at least one mandate of 220 person-days involving project planning, project control, and management reporting.

At least one (1) year of experience using Microsoft Project in a project control or project planning advisory role within the last two years.

Demonstrated experience with dashboarding and automation tools, including:
- Power BI

Power Automate

Power Apps

Or equivalent tools

Experience working within a PMO or managing project portfolios.

Knowledge of project and portfolio governance practices.

Experience in complex environments managing multiple concurrent projects.

Knowledge of project management methodologies (PMI, Agile, or Hybrid).
