Silver Linings Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to improving access to eating disorder care, education, and recovery supports for individuals and families. Our mission is to bridge gaps in care, strengthen community connections, and support lasting recovery through compassionate, evidence-informed services.
About the Recovery Bridge Program
The Recovery Bridge Program provides transitional support for individuals who are leaving the EHN Sandstone live-in eating disorder treatment program and returning to their home. The program helps ensure that clients and their families have the knowledge, resources, and community connections needed to support continued recovery after discharge.
Key Responsibilities
- Support clients (ages 12–24) as they transition from live-in eating disorder treatment back into their communities.
- Assist clients in identifying and accessing appropriate community resources and recovery supports.
- Educate and support parents, caregivers, and loved ones to better understand eating disorders, recovery, and available community services.
- Provide guidance and encouragement to families as they continue supporting recovery at home.
- Participate in meal support with families when appropriate to help reinforce treatment recommendations and promote successful eating at home following discharge.
- Collaborate with treatment providers and community partners to ensure smooth transitions in care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate professionally with team members. Represent Silver Linings Foundation with professionalism, compassion, and respect
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, or a related human services field.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable personal vehicle, as community travel may be required.
Preferred
Experience working with one or more of the following:
- Individuals with eating disorders
- Mental health services
- Youth and young adults
- Family support services
- Community-based programming or case management
