Fish Processing Plant | Evening Sanitation Crew
We are hiring dependable, hard-working team members to join our evening sanitation cleaning crew at a fish processing plant. This role is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production areas, equipment, tools, floors, and work surfaces after processing operations to help maintain a safe, clean, and food-safe facility.
Position Details
· Position: Sanitation Cleaning Crew Member
· Shift: Evenings from 4pm to 1am
· Employment type: Full-time or a part-time position may be available
· Start date: As soon as possible
Key Responsibilities
· Wash, rinse, clean, and sanitize processing equipment, tools, floors, walls, drains, bins, and work surfaces.
· Use approved cleaning chemicals and sanitation procedures safely and correctly.
· Operate cleaning equipment such as hoses, foamers, scrubbers, and pressure-washing equipment as trained.
· Remove waste, debris, and garbage from production and sanitation areas.
· Disassemble and reassemble equipment for cleaning when required.
· Report damaged, broken, or unsafe equipment to a supervisor right away.
· Follow food safety, sanitation, Good Manufacturing Practices, and workplace safety procedures always.
· Work as part of a team to complete sanitation tasks efficiently before the next production shift.
Requirements
· Reliable, punctual, and able to work evening shifts.
· Comfortable working in a wet, cold, fast-paced food processing environment.
· Able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, crouching, and kneeling.
· Able to lift 50 lbs. when required.
· Good attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
· Previous cleaning, sanitation, food plant, seafood, or industrial cleaning experience is an asset, but training is provided.
· Ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment.
· WHMIS training provided
