We are seeking experienced Derrickhands to join our growing team and support operations across Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan.
The Derrickhand is responsible for operating and maintaining the derrick and associated equipment during drilling operations. This role involves working at heights, handling heavy machinery, and collaborating closely with other crew members to ensure safe and efficient drilling processes.
Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following):
- Operate and monitor drilling fluid systems to maintain safe and efficient drilling operations.
- Monitor mud properties, fluid levels, circulation rates, and wellbore conditions.
- Assist with the operation, assembly, and maintenance of derrick equipment, hoisting systems, mud pumps, and related rig equipment.
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and equipment servicing to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and report equipment deficiencies, maintenance requirements, and operational concerns.
- Maintain compliance with all company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements while promoting a strong safety culture.
- Participate in safety meetings, inspections, hazard assessments, and pre-operational equipment checks.
- Assist in the training, development, and mentorship of new and less experienced crew members.
- Complete required reports, inspections, and operational documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with the rig crew to ensure safe, efficient, and productive drilling operations.

Education and Experience:
- Must have valid H2S Alive ticket, Standard First Aid, CSO, Confined Space Rescue ticket, Fall Protection ticket, Loader Training and Rig Rescue ticket.
- Relevant experience of field work in the oilfield services industry. Previous experience will ideally include supervisory responsibility.
