Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HVAC Residential New Home Supervisor to lead our team in delivering exceptional heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions for new residential construction projects. This role bridges the gap between hands-on technical installation and high-level project management, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to building codes. In this role, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of HVAC systems. Your expertise in HVAC design, mechanical systems, and field service will drive project success from start to finish to Ocean Mechanical's builder partners. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the quality of new homes while leading a skilled team of technicians.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate HVAC installation teams on new residential construction sites, ensuring timely and efficient project completion
- Review and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical drawings to guide installation processes
- Conduct site inspections to verify adherence to safety protocols, building codes, and quality standards
- Provide technical guidance on ventilation systems, furnace and air conditioning units
- Oversee equipment repair, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting for HVAC/R systems
- Ensure proper documentation of work progress, safety compliance reports, and service records
- Collaborate with project managers, property maintenance teams, and contractors to coordinate schedules and resolve technical issues promptly
- Liase with builder partners to provide industry leading customer service
Experience
- Proven experience in construction supervision within the HVAC industry or related mechanical fields
- Service technician experience with a strong understanding of HVAC systems
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles and ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately
- Field service background with hands-on experience in furnace, ventilation, controls, air conditioning installation and maintenance is an asset
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is a must
