We are seeking a talented and organized individual to join our Human Resources team as an HR Coordinator, specializing in Health, Safety, and Workplace Programs.
In this role, you will coordinate and administer key workplace health, safety, and employee support programs across the organization. Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, you’ll play an important role in ensuring processes are well-managed, compliant, and consistently executed.
This position provides coordination and operational support across areas such as occupational health and safety, workers’ compensation, employee leaves, workplace accommodations, ergonomics, and training. You will work closely with the HR Business Partner, managers, employees, and external stakeholders to keep programs running smoothly and aligned with legislative and organizational requirements.
While this role does not provide legal interpretation or employee relations decision-making, it is critical in ensuring documentation, systems, approvals, and tracking mechanisms are accurate, up-to-date, and effective.

- Coordinate and administer core workplace health, safety, and employee support processes, ensuring consistent implementation and proper documentation.
- Support occupational health and safety governance, workers' compensation administration, and employee leave coordination.
- Manage workplace accommodations, ergonomics, and training administration, working closely with HR Business Partners and managers.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and organizational policies, maintaining a strong service-oriented approach.
- Track and execute systems, documentation, and approvals, providing critical enabling support to the HR team.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders to stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports on health, safety, and employee support initiatives.
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to enhance workplace health and safety programs.
- Provide administrative support for HR initiatives and projects as needed.
- Foster a culture of safety and well-being within the organization through proactive communication and engagement.
Education
Post-secondary diploma or degree in:
- Human Resources Occupational
- Health & Safety Business Administration
- Health Sciences, Kinesiology, or a related field
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered

Experience
- 2–5+ years of progressive experience in HR, health & safety, or people operations
- Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Occupational health and safety program coordination
- Workers’ compensation claims or premium administration
- Employee leave management (medical, disability, parental, etc.)
- Workplace accommodations
- Training coordination and tracking
- Purchase order or requisition administration
Experience in a multi-provincial or regulated environment is considered an asset
