We're looking for a reliable, friendly cashier to join our team at a busy convenience store. You'll be the face of the shop — handling sales of tobacco, lottery, beer, wine, and ready-to-drink (RTD) beverages in compliance with Ontario regulations. No two shifts are the same, and we reward people who show up, work hard, and treat customers right.
What you'll do
- Process cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately at the POS
- Verify customer age (19+) for tobacco, alcohol, and RTD product sales per AGCO rules
- Sell OLG lottery tickets and process winners per OLG retailer guidelines
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays; rotate product and check expiry dates
- Keep the store clean, organized, and welcoming throughout your shift
- Open and/or close the store as required
- Handle customer questions, complaints, and requests professionally
What we're looking for
- Must be 19 years of age or older (required for alcohol and tobacco sales)
- Smart Serve certification (or willing to obtain before start date)
- Responsible Service of Tobacco (RST) awareness is an asset
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic cash-handling and math skills; previous POS experience a plus
- Strong communication skills; bilingual (English/French) is an asset
- Previous retail or convenience store experience preferred, but not required
Pay: $17.60-$20.60 per hour
