MINAS is a Brazilian Churrascaria or Steakhouse, we serve authentic Brazilian and Latin foods, and we also have a retail shop. We are known by the All-you-care-to-eat concept or Rodizio service. Title: GRILL COOK/SERVER
Reports to: Head Chef
The Grill Cook / Server is responsible for preparing and cooking meats and other menu items while also engaging with guests through our traditional rodízio-style service.
This role includes grill operations, buffet support, plating, and guest interaction in a passador (tableside-style service) format.

Prepare and cook meats, fish, vegetables, and other menu items according to MINAS standards

Prepare traditional Brazilian cuts of meat using proper techniques

Season, portion, grill, and garnish food according to recipes and guest preferences

Perform buffet duties and final plate preparation, including packing orders when required
-
Present meats to guests in passador (gaucho-style) service in a timely manner

Answer guest questions about churrasco-style food

Prepare catering, takeout, and delivery orders

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill and kitchen areas

Complete opening and closing duties, including dishwashing when required

Ensure all products comply with MINAS quality guidelines

Stock and maintain sufficient inventory levels at stations for smooth service

Support team members as needed to ensure efficient operations and excellent guest service

Strong communication skills with guests and team members

Ability to communicate effectively in English

Knowledge of safe handling of knives and kitchen equipment

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strong time management and multitasking skills
-
Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours)

Ability to lift and maneuver items up to 50 lbs (including meat skewers)

Availability to work weekends and holidays, with flexible scheduling

Secondary school diploma
-
Must be based in Calgary

Butchery experience is an asset
-
Driver’s license is an asset
Must live in Calgary.
