Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance, mechanical knowledge, and electrical systems. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with other team members to maintain equipment and ensure a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance on equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including logic controllers and wiring.
- Read and interpret schematics to diagnose malfunctions in machinery.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Weld and fabricate components as necessary for repairs or modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with other departments to address facility-related issues promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, including the ability to read schematics.
- Basic welding skills are preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with CMMS for tracking maintenance tasks is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
- Familiarity with Mandarin is an asset.
