Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Livestock Labourer to join our farm team. This role involves hands-on work caring for and managing livestock, ensuring their health and well-being, and assisting with farm operations. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, reliable, and eager to contribute to a productive agricultural environment. Experience with farm machinery and mechanical knowledge is a plus, but training will be provided for specific tasks. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic rural setting with a focus on animal care and farm maintenance.
Duties
- Assist in feeding, watering, and caring for poultry livestock
- Maintain clean and safe living environments for animals
- Operate farm machinery including tractors, feed mixers, and other equipment as needed
- Perform heavy lifting tasks related to feed bags, equipment parts, or livestock supplies
- Monitor animal health and report any concerns to farm management
- Maintain cleanliness of barns, pens, and surrounding farm areas
- Support general farm maintenance tasks including repairs and equipment checks
Skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience or familiarity with farm machinery is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Physical stamina and strength to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail in animal care and safety procedures
- Reliable work ethic with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a rural farm environment
Pay: $19.00 per hour
