Experienced Roofing Estimator
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Roofing Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in roofing, coupled with excellent analytical and communication skills. As a Roofing Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing comprehensive estimates, and collaborating with managers to ensure successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Utilize multiple bid forms to assess available roofing projects for bidding.
Actively seek changes in scope to enhance project competitiveness.
Collaborate with managers to evaluate project feasibility and alignment with organizational goals. Ensure thorough documentation of project assessments and scope modifications. Contribute to the growth of the organization by securing diverse and strategic roofing projects.
Utilize industry knowledge and software tools to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documents to determine project scope.
Prepare detailed and competitive bids for roofing projects.
Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate quotes.
Work closely with managers, contractors, and clients to understand project goals and timelines.
Attend pre-bid meetings and collaborate with managers to address project requirements.
Maintain organized and up-to-date project documentation.
Ensure all estimates and proposals align with company standards and industry regulations.
Engage in negotiations with clients and vendors to achieve cost-effective solutions.
Present and explain cost estimates to clients in a clear and professional manner.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Roofing Estimator with a track record of successful project estimations.
In-depth knowledge of roofing materials, installation methods, and industry best practices.
Proficient in using estimating software, BlueBeam and salesforce.
Ability to interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
