Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Part Time Sales Associate to join our team at local Farmers Markets. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about retail sales, customer service, and product demonstrations. The ideal candidate will be personable, organized, and capable of engaging with diverse customers while promoting our products effectively. Experience in technology or retail sales are highly valued to enhance customer interactions and sales performance.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Assist customers with product inquiries, demonstrations, and upselling opportunities
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and transactions
- Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customers and promote products
- Manage cash register operations, including cashiering and basic math calculations
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the sales area at all times
- Manage time efficiently to balance multiple responsibilities during market hours
- Set up and take down of the market booth, being able to move and lift up to 50lb
Requirements
- Strong communication and people skills
- Positive, outgoing personality
- Comfortable approaching and interacting with customers
- Reliable and punctual-
- Able to stand for extended periods and work outdoors
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs (tent, tables, product bins, etc.)
- Must have a personal vehicle that can be used for transporting market setup. SUV or larger
- Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience
- Willingness to obtain/ has a food handler certification
