In-Home Sales Closer: Sewer & Underground (Jobs to $30K, Base + Uncapped Commission) Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Saskatoon
We're hiring one closer. Most people should not apply.
Read this first. It saves us both time.
If you need a script to feel confident, this isn't your job. If you'd rather email a quote than sit across from a homeowner and ask for the sale, close the tab now. Picking up the phone to build a relationship should feel like ownership. If it feels like a chore, we're not a fit.
Still here? Good.
Here's the honest picture of the work.
Part of it is technical. You run a camera down the sewer line and find the real problem before anyone starts guessing. You'll do this five or six times a day. You need to be fine getting dirty. If a clean-out in someone's basement or a muddy job site isn't for you, stop here.
Part of it is closing. Most of what you camera turns into everyday repair work around $4,500. The big underground jobs, the full sewer replacements and digs, run $15,000 to $30,000 and up. When the camera finds a real problem, your job is to sit with the homeowner and close it in person. The best guys close most of what they diagnose.
Part of it is hunting. Between camera jobs you build relationships with builders and property managers and turn them into a pipeline that's yours. That means making the call and asking for the business.
This is not a one-appointment-a-day seat. You'll get five or six at-bats every day, five days a week. Every one is a chance to find real work and close it. Do that math on uncapped commission and you'll see why this seat pays what it pays.
The money. Base pay plus uncapped commission. This seat is built to earn $120,000 a year, and a strong closer can clear $150,000 and up. It's uncapped, so the ceiling is yours. Big jobs mean big cheques. Your income is a decision you make, not a number we hand you.
Here's what we hand you. A company truck. An iPad and a camera. Five or six inspections dispatched to you every day. A full plumbing crew that delivers what you sell. And real coaching, not lip service. We run Rilla on your sales calls, so every conversation gets recorded and reviewed, and you sharpen off your own tape every week.
What you're selling. This isn't budget gear and it isn't a patch job. You inspect with a $15,000 Milwaukee sewer camera, the best eyes in the trade, so you see the real problem and so does the homeowner. Then you fix it with the newest restoration system on the market. The lining we install is three times stronger than the industry standard. We cure it in place with UV LED light, and it puts another fifty years on that pipe. When you sit across from a homeowner, you're not talking them into something cheap. You're selling the best work money can buy in this city, and that makes closing a different game. Premium sells itself when it's real. Your job is to show them what they're getting and let the quality carry the close.
What you'll actually do:
- Camera and diagnose sewer lines so you own the problem before you present
- Close high-ticket repairs in customers' homes, day in and day out
- Build referral partners and grow a pipeline that's yours
- Earn trust in the first five minutes and present price in person
- Hand clean, well-scoped jobs to the crew and keep the customer for life
This is for you if you've closed big-ticket work in person and can put real numbers to it. If you're not scared to pick up the phone and make the ask. If a hard yes gives you energy and you take coaching without your ego getting in the way.
Where this goes. This is a brand new seat, and you'd be the first closer in the door. Don't let that scare you. Let it do the opposite. This isn't some experiment we're guessing at. Mr. Rooter shops across North America run this exact model and run it hard, and we're bringing it to Saskatoon. You wouldn't be slotting into someone else's machine. You'd be setting the standard here from day one. The right person doesn't stay a rep. He grows into leading our sales as we scale. Get in now while it's the ground floor.
How to apply. Read this part carefully, because it's the test. Email: [email protected] with your resume and answer one question. What's the biggest deal you ever closed in person, what was the dollar amount, and exactly how you closed it. Skip the question and we delete your application. If you can't sell us on you, you can't sell for us.
