Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead our HR initiatives and support organizational growth. The ideal candidate will be in Ontario, Canada and will be involved in the development of human resources, health and safety and learning and development projects for our clients, ensuring compliance with employment laws and fostering a positive workplace culture. This role requires a proactive leader with strong communication skills and expertise in HRIS systems, data analysis, and process improvement. The Human Resources Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping HR policies, managing HR technology platforms.
Duties
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals, including change management and process improvement initiatives.
- Lead talent acquisition efforts through effective recruiting strategies utilizing ATS systems like Taleo, Workday, or iCIMS; oversee interviewing and sourcing processes.
- Manage employee relations by addressing workplace issues, facilitating conflict resolution, and promoting a positive work environment.
- Oversee HR programs related to training & development, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning.
- Administer payroll processing through systems such as ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, or Dayforce; ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
- Supervise HR team members and coordinate activities related to employee engagement, compliance, and policy enforcement.
- Utilize HRIS platforms like PeopleSoft or Ceridian to maintain employee records and generate reports for data analysis.
- Conduct data analysis to inform decision-making on staffing needs, budget planning, and organizational development initiatives.
- Manage budgeting processes for HR projects and initiatives while ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on HR metrics and strategic plans to executive leadership.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of human resources management principles and best practices.
- Proven experience in change management, program management, and process improvement within HR functions.
- Strong recruiting skills with proficiency in ATS systems such as Taleo, Workday, or iCIMS; expertise in sourcing candidates effectively.
- Excellent negotiation skills for vendor management and employment terms.
- Supervising experience leading HR teams or departments effectively.
- Proficiency with HR technology platforms including Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM Cloud, ADP Workforce Now, Kronos Workforce Central, UltiPro (Ultimate Software), Dayforce (Ceridian), PeopleSoft, or similar systems.
- Data collection and analysis skills to interpret HR metrics accurately.
- Exceptional communication skills for engaging with employees at all levels; adept at delivering presentations.
- Familiarity with payroll systems such as ADP or Kronos; understanding of budgeting processes related to human resources initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Pay: $57,457.03-$118,430.38 per year
