Job Description
We’re a locally owned, family-run shop looking for a skilled Journeyman Automotive Technician to join our team.
We take pride in the kind of place we’ve built , a shop where people work hard, help each other out, and take care of customers the right way. We’re not a corporate environment, and you won’t be treated like a number here.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the hands-on side of the trade and being able to talk with customers when needed. We value technicians who can do great work and stand behind it.
You’ll be working in a fast-paced but supportive environment where quality, efficiency, and communication matter.
Education / Certification
- Journeyman Automotive Technician Certification (required)
- Valid driver’s license
Experience & Skills
- Journeyman-level experience in automotive repair and maintenance
- Strong diagnostic ability (electrical, drivability, engine performance, etc.)
- Confident using diagnostic tools, scanners, and modern shop equipment
- Experience with brakes, suspension, steering, engine repair, and general maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and accurately
- Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively
- Experience interacting with customers and/or working at the front counter
- Ability to clearly explain mechanical issues and repair recommendations in a professional, easy-to-understand way
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and organized
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Valid driver’s license
Assets (not required):
- Diesel Experience
- Advanced diagnostics / electrical
- Ability to mentor apprentices
- Experience with shop software / digital inspections
