Duties
- Perform professional massage therapy treatments including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other modalities tailored to individual patient needs
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify areas of concern, develop treatment plans, and track progress
- Educate patients on pain management strategies, occupational health practices, and self-care techniques to support ongoing wellness
- Maintain detailed documentation of treatments, patient responses, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and optimize treatment outcomes
- Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all patients by adhering to hygiene protocols and clinic policies
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and continuing education requirements to enhance your expertise
Experience
- Valid registration as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) or Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) with the appropriate licensing body
- Proven experience in patient service delivery within a clinical or med spa setting, with a focus on pain management and physiotherapy techniques
- Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy practice
- Hands-on experience performing deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other therapeutic modalities
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately and communicate treatment benefits effectively
- Familiarity with occupational health principles and best practices for workplace wellness programs is preferred
- Prior experience working in a med spa or similar environment is advantageous but not required
