Choir Description:
Les Muses Chorale, McGill’s only soprano/alto choir, was initially established in 2001 as Simply Sweetly. We are composed of between 30 and 40 voices and boast a wide-ranging repertoire that speaks directly to our audience. Now entering our 25th season, we are delighted to dive into a new repertoire of pieces. In the two decades since its founding, Les Muses has provided a space for young singers to come together, express their love of music, and share it with the rest of the community. We’ve also participated in the Montreal Bach Festival’s Night of Choirs, vigils for the École Polytechnique, and most recently performed at the 2025 National Women's Show at Palais de Congrès.

Choir values and spirit:
Our choir values inclusivity, community, and enjoyment through dedication to choral excellence. Our concerts aim to expose the McGill and Montreal community to the beauty and power of classical and contemporary choral music alike.
is one of our key values. The music conductor must listen and take into consideration the voices of the executive team, who represent the choir. As our choir is still a student club under the Students' Society of McGill University (SSMU), the music conductor must understand that many of our singers are students foremost. We can organize good music while maintaining choir morale and positive communication between the music director and executive members.
