About Wild Flour
Wild Flour Pizza Co. is a growing restaurant company with locations in Burnaby, Langley and Abbotsford, with additional locations currently in development.
As we continue to grow, we are looking to add an Operations Coordinator to support our leadership team and help build the systems and organization needed across the company.
This is a new role within Wild Flour and a great opportunity for someone who is highly organized, proactive and enjoys being involved in many different areas of a growing business.
The Role
The Operations Coordinator will work closely with ownership and our senior operations leader to support the day-to-day administrative and organizational needs of the company.
This role is not intended to simply process paperwork. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of tasks, keep projects moving, follow up consistently and help create better organization across our restaurants.
You will support a wide range of areas including recruitment, employee administration, reporting, vendor coordination, training documentation, new store openings and general operational support.
Because we do not currently operate from a traditional head office, this position will be a combination of remote work and scheduled time working from or visiting our restaurant locations. As Wild Flour continues to grow and establishes a central office, the working environment for this position will evolve as well.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting recruitment, including job postings, applicant coordination, interview scheduling and candidate follow-up
- Coordinating employee onboarding and maintaining employee documentation and files
- Assisting with benefits administration and employee forms
- Maintaining and organizing company policies, forms, training materials and operational documents
- Supporting manager and employee review processes and tracking required follow-ups
- Preparing and organizing weekly and monthly operational reports
- Following up with restaurant leadership teams on outstanding tasks, documentation and deadlines
- Coordinating vendors, repairs, maintenance requests and other operational needs
- Tracking permits, licences, inspections, renewals and important company deadlines
- Supporting purchasing, organization and administration related to new restaurant openings
- Coordinating meetings, training sessions and management reviews
- Assisting with invoice and document collection for bookkeeping and accounting
- Maintaining company calendars, trackers and internal systems
- Helping improve administrative processes as the company grows
- Providing general operational and administrative support to ownership and senior leadership
Who We’re Looking For
The right person will be:
- Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented
- Reliable and strong at following tasks through to completion
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities at the same time
- Proactive and able to identify what needs to be done without always being asked
- Professional and comfortable communicating with employees, managers, vendors and outside partners
- Strong with written communication
- Comfortable working independently
- Confident using spreadsheets, shared documents and cloud-based systems
- Able to maintain confidentiality when working with employee and company information
- Flexible and comfortable working in a growing company where responsibilities may evolve over time
Previous experience in operations, office administration, HR coordination, restaurant administration or a similar role would be an asset.
Restaurant experience is helpful but not required.
Schedule & Work Environment
This is a 30hr/wk starting position, Monday through Friday from approximately 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The position will initially be hybrid, with a combination of remote work and scheduled time at our Burnaby, Langley and Abbotsford restaurants.
Some local travel between locations may be required.
Why Join Wild Flour?
Wild Flour is entering an exciting stage of growth. We are building not only more restaurants, but also the leadership team and systems needed to support a larger organization.
This position will have the opportunity to grow alongside the company and take on increasing responsibility as our operations expand.
If you are someone who enjoys bringing organization to a fast-moving environment, taking ownership of your work and helping build better systems, we would love to hear from you.
Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 per week
