Qualifications:
- Cooking – 1 yr.

- Pass a Criminal Record check that is required by the Ministry of Justice to work with the elderly.
Birchview Residences is looking for an experienced part-time cook for a Long-Term Care Facility. We cook and serve home cooked nutritional meals for 19 residents 7days/wk. & 365 days/yr. You must be available to work weekends, Statutory Holidays and be able to cover sick days.
Requirements:
- Food preparation and starting coffee/tea
- Being able to cook and serve 19 residents.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the whole kitchen and dining room area by doing dishes, wiping counters, sweeping, and mopping.
- Understand how diets work like diabetes diets, heart healthy diets etc. (Training will be provided for those special needs of our residents)
- Able to cook all three meals of the day- Breakfast, lunch & dinner.
- Baking experience is an asset.
- Be patient, kind, respectful to all staff and residents.
- You must be diligent, have attention to detail, and have a strong work ethic.
- Must be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Salary: From $23.81 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 22 per week
