Business Development Representative (Contract, Part-Time)
Location: Calgary, AB
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
Compensation: $18-30/hour + commission
Stone & Bark is a Calgary-based garden design company specializing in timeless, old-world inspired gardens. We believe our outdoor spaces should do more than beautify a property and create spaces that inspire, restore, and connect people with nature.
We're looking for a motivated Business Development Representative to help grow our client base through proactive outreach. If you're confident talking to people, enjoy building relationships, and aren't afraid to knock on doors, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Generate new residential and commercial leads through cold calling, email, and social media outreach.
- Engage with prospective clients on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Conduct door-to-door outreach in targeted Calgary neighbourhoods when appropriate.
- Qualify leads and schedule consultations for our design team.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and follow-ups.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients.
- Represent the Stone & Bark brand in a professional and friendly manner.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable with cold calling and initiating conversations.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Previous experience in sales, business development, or customer service is an asset.
- Knowledge of landscaping or construction is an asset but not required.
