POSITION TITLE: Parks & Recreation I or Parks & Recreation II
REPORTS TO: Director of Parks & Recreation
SUBORDINATE POSITIONS: None
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Parks and Recreation I or Parks and Recreation II is a permanent full-time position. To be a level II position must have completed training and has expertise in the maintenance, repair and construction of parks, recreational facilities and municipal buildings. During the winter months (September to April) this position will work in the arena and in the public works departments depending on schedules.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
WHMIS/TDG certification or willingness to obtain
Standard First Aid/CPR certificate or willingness to obtain
Experience working in a parks and recreation or related department
Parks & Recreation II requires any two of the following courses offered by Alberta Recreation Facility Personnel (ARFP) or an alternative equivalent.
Certified Swimming Pool Operator Level I and II
Parks and Sportsfields Level I and II
Building Maintenance Level I and II
Arena Operator Level I and II
Parks & Recreation I requires any one of the following course offered by Alberta Recreation Facility Personnel (AFRP) or alternative equivalent or a willingness to obtain within the probationary period.
Certified Swimming Pool Operator Level I
Parks and Sportsfields Level I
Building Maintenance Level I
Arena Operator Level I
This shifts during the arena season will be days, evening and weekends. In the off-season there will be on-call shifts required.

Pay: $27.75-$30.20 per hour
