Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Designer / Estimator to join our engineering team. This role involves creating detailed electrical system designs, drafting schematics, and providing accurate estimates for electrical projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical code, system design, and proficiency with CAD software. Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical system designs and layouts using AutoCAD.
- Create accurate schematics, wiring diagrams, and system schematics for various electrical projects.
- Prepare detailed estimates based on project specifications, material costs, and labor requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet electrical standards and client specifications.
- Review construction drawings and provide technical support during installation phases.
- Ensure all designs comply with safety standards, electrical codes, and industry best practices.
Experience
- Proven experience in electrical engineering design or drafting within construction or manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency with CAD software including.
- Familiarity with electrical systems design, schematics, PCB layout, and system integration.
- Knowledge of Canada / America codes, electrical wiring practices, and PLC programming is highly desirable.
- Experience with Project Management / Project Coordination is a plus.
- Strong understanding of system design principles for electrical systems in construction projects.
- Prior experience estimating electrical projects with attention to detail and accuracy is preferred. Pay: $70,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
