Tarp Graphics & Vinyl Production Technician

Salary/Pay: $22-$30/hr
Our client a leader in the manufacturing industry is hiring for a full-time Industrial Tarp Systems Manufacturer. The Tarp Graphics & Vinyl Production Technician is a hands-on production position responsible for the preparation, printing, cutting, welding, assembly, graphics application, and finishing of vinyl tarp systems and related products. This role supports manufacturing operations by producing high-quality tarp components, graphics packages, and customer-specific branding while maintaining safety, quality, and production schedules.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- · Operate digital tarp cutting equipment and prepare material for production.
· Measure, mark, layout, and cut vinyl materials according to drawings and work orders.
· Perform Miller hot-air plastic welding and K-Bar vinyl welding operations.
· Assemble tarp panels and components to engineering and production specifications.
· Apply customer graphics, decals, lettering, and branding packages to tarp systems.
· Design, prepare, and produce vinyl masks for paint and ink applications.
· Prepare and apply screen print and ink-based graphics systems.
· Perform graphic layout, positioning, alignment, and quality inspections.
· Operate printers, plotters, laminators, and related graphics equipment.
· Create and prepare artwork files for production when required.
· Complete graphics quotations and material estimates.
· Maintain inventory of vinyl, inks, graphics materials, and consumables.
· Support preliminary scheduling of graphics and tarp production activities.
· Train new employees on tarp fabrication, graphics application, welding techniques, equipment operation, and quality standards.
· Maintain production records and complete required documentation.
· Inspect completed products for quality, appearance, durability, and compliance with customer requirements.
· Assist with continuous improvement, process improvements, and workplace organization initiatives.
· Support shipping, packaging, and final inspection activities when required.
· Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to read drawings, work instructions, and production schedules.
- Experience with vinyl fabrication, tarp production, graphics, or signage manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to use measuring tools accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Basic computer skills for production tracking and quoting.
- Ability to lift materials and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Candidate must have a high school diploma and speak English
- Candidate should have good manual dexterity.
- Candidate should be able to read and correctly interpret technical line drawings for tarp manufacture and measurement.
- Candidate should be physically fit, be able to sit, stand, bend, and lift 50 lbs.
- Capable of using and maintaining single and double needle sewing machines.
- Familiar with the use of air welders or can be successfully trained.
- Should have creative mind and interest in seeing something being built from nothing.
- Should have mild mechanical aptitude working with hands, tape measures, manual and automatic cutters.
Pay: $21.00-$30.00 per hour
