Our client is seeking an experienced Building Operations Supervisor to support the day-to-day oversight of facilities, maintenance activities, contractors, and operational staff.
Job Summary
The Building Operations Supervisor will oversee day-to-day operational activities across a diverse portfolio of facilities and assets. This leadership position is responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, managing vendor relationships, supporting operational efficiency initiatives, and ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for occupants and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong technical and supervisory experience, capable of balancing operational requirements with customer service and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day operational activities and staff.
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and vendor services.
- Conduct facility inspections and ensure safe operations.
- Support budgeting, purchasing, and cost control efforts.
- Respond to operational issues and emergency situations.
- Promote compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Participate in a rotational on-call schedule to support after-hours operational and emergency response requirements.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience in operations, facilities, maintenance, or a related field.
- 4th Class Power Engineering certification preferred (5th Class Power Engineering certification will also be considered).
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience coordinating contractors and service providers.
- Working knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices is an asset.
