We are a well-established and respected general contracting company with over 45 years of experience specializing in residential and commercial construction projects throughout the GTA and surrounding regions. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our team.
This position is ideal for a construction professional with a proven track record of successfully managing residential and commercial projects and delivering results while maintaining strong client relationships, project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Position Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing residential and commercial renovation, addition, and construction projects from pre-construction through completion. The successful candidate will manage project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and client communications while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects from planning and pre-construction through completion and project closeout
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and construction timelines
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal project teams
- Monitor project progress to ensure schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives are achieved
- Prepare, review, and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, contracts, and project documentation
- Conduct regular site visits and attend client, consultant, and subcontractor meetings
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, trades, and project stakeholders
- Identify and resolve project challenges while minimizing impacts to schedule and budget
- Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and change management
- Oversee project closeout, deficiencies, and turnover documentation
- Assist with estimating, tendering, and pre-construction planning as required
- Ensure projects are completed in accordance with company standards, drawings, specifications, and safety requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in residential and/or commercial construction project management
- Experience managing renovations, additions, and new construction projects
- Construction Engineering Management diploma, Construction Management diploma, or equivalent industry experience preferred
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams); experience with Microsoft Project and construction management software is considered an asset
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple projects
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Ability and willingness to travel outside York Region for projects when required

Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Pay: $65,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
