Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Civil Construction Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various construction activities on-site, supporting the installation and maintenance of infrastructure projects, and ensuring safety and efficiency throughout the work process. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to learn and perform a variety of manual tasks in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of construction sites, including traffic and pedestrian control
- Use hand tools, power tools, and other mechanical tools to support construction activities
- Perform general labour tasks including digging, lifting, carrying, and material handling
- Support the installation of piping, structural components, and other infrastructure elements in road, sewer and water or related industries
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
- Assist with site cleanup and organization to maintain a tidy work area
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools is desirable
- Strong understanding of safety procedures in construction environments
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of road, sewer and water industry standards is a plus
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills related to civil construction projects
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

- Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
