Responsibilities
This is an exceptional opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys strategic problem solving, liability analysis, negotiation, and litigation management. Working alongside an experienced team of legal professionals, the successful candidate will play a key role in autonomously assessing and resolving professional liability claims while continuing to practice law in a highly collegial and intellectually engaging environment.
Qualifications
- Member of the Alberta Law Society and be in good standing, or eligible for membership
- Litigation experience is required with backgrounds in personal injury, insurance defence, commercial litigation, family law, or other dispute-focused practices preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and a significant file portfolio
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and intellectually curious with a desire for continuous learning
- Experience with professional liability, insurance defence, or claims management is considered an asset but is not required
