Full-Time Crane Operator

Schedule: Monday to Friday with occasional evenings and weekends as required
Niwa Crane is seeking a skilled, safety-focused Crane Operator to join our growing team in Medicine Hat. We provide reliable lifting solutions for commercial, industrial, agricultural, and construction projects throughout Southern Alberta. Responsibilities:
* Safely operate mobile cranes on a variety of job sites.
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
* Set up cranes, outriggers, and lifting equipment according to site conditions.
* Read lift plans and communicate effectively with riggers, signalers, and site supervisors.
* Complete daily inspection reports and maintenance logs.
* Follow all company safety policies and provincial regulations.
* Assist with routine maintenance and keep equipment clean and in good working order.
* Represent Niwa Crane professionally while working with customers and contractors.
Qualifications:
* Valid Class 1 driver's license (preferred).
* Mobile Crane Operator certification or equivalent experience.
* Strong knowledge of safe lifting practices and load charts.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Physically capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
* Safety certifications such as CSTS, H2S Alive, First Aid, or WHMIS are considered assets.
