We are seeking a friendly and professional Cashier/Sales associate to join our retail team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a courteous manner
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and credit transactions
- Conduct product demonstrations and provide detailed information about merchandise
- Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customer attention
- Manage inventory levels and restock shelves as needed
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and clarity
- Ensure checkout areas are clean, organized, and welcoming
- Assist with store opening and closing procedures, including balancing cash registers
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities such as Spanish or other languages are a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills necessary for transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product demos is advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products and engage customers proactively
- Professional phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings may be preferred depending on store needs
