Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and friendly Part-Time Counter Staff to join our vibrant Matcha & Bagel Shop. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about the food industry who enjoy providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a key team member, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, handling transactions, and assisting with food and beverage preparation. Prior experience in food service or barista roles is a plus, but we are happy to train motivated candidates. This position offers the opportunity to develop valuable skills in food handling and customer engagement.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR MATURE RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUAL WHO IS RESPONSIBLE IN OPENING AND CLOSING OF THE STORE. THE STORE OPENS AS EARLY AS 7:30AM APPLICANTS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN VEHICLE AND ABLE TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY WITH VERY MINIMAL SUPERVISION, FOLLOWS POLICIES AND INSTRUCTIONS.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive service at the counter
- Operate POS systems, to process orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle credit card transactions
- Prepare and serve matcha beverages, baked bagels, and other menu items according to quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area and food prep stations
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Provide information about menu items and make recommendations to enhance customer experience
Skills
- Experience with POS systems, is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Previous barista or food service experience is a plus, especially in serving or food preparation role.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a dynamic setting

Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
