Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various commercial and industrial settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. The candidate will be expected to utilize their expertise in electrical work to contribute to projects efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial, and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
- Manage and supervise apprentice electricians on projects
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on job sites to ensure timely project completion.
- Conduct low voltage installations as required for specific projects.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Journeyman/woman Electrician.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics related to electrical installations.
- Familiarity with low voltage systems would be an asset.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools in an efficient manner.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical problems effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
