Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis Chef to join our culinary team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a professional kitchen environment. As a Commis Chef, you will support the kitchen staff in preparing high-quality dishes and maintaining efficient kitchen operations.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support senior chefs in cooking and plating dishes to ensure presentation quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety standards
- Handle food safely, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Contribute to the preparation of ingredients for service, including chopping, marinating, and portioning
- Support the team during service hours by serving dishes and ensuring timely delivery
- Follow all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment
- Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Strong interest in food preparation, cooking, and the food industry
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from senior kitchen staff
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed within operational hours

Pay: $21.00-$28.00 per hour
