Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through innovative teaching methods and individualized care. Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate educational activities that foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a clear understanding of developmental progress and needs.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and behavioural observations using computer operation skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and participate in team meetings to enhance program quality.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention as needed.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies related to early childhood education.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education and special education.
Skills
- Proficiency in English
- Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—to effectively interact with children, families, and team members.
- Experience working with children in classroom settings; knowledge of early childhood education principles is essential.
- Ability to work with individuals with disabilities or special needs with patience and understanding.
- Excellent organizational skills for managing classroom activities, documentation, and time efficiently.
- Leadership qualities to guide children’s learning experiences positively while fostering independence.
- Computer literacy, including basic computer operation, record-keeping software, and educational tools.
