What’s In It For You?

What You’ll Do (Across 5-10+ 1-3 Minute Projects/Month)
- Make Selects: Picking the best moments from raw footage to be used
- Sync: Ensure all cameras and audio tracks are aligned and balanced (matching colour/lighting)
- Structure Stories: Craft engaging narratives based on a script/brief provided by me
- Curate The Vibe: Select great music for videos and add relevant SFX, colour grade footage
- Be Dynamic: Include key framing zooms, smooth assets, simple text/animation effects, rotoscoping
- Shorts: Convert long-form videos into short-form content
- Add Some Spice: Inject your own creativity into the edit
Ideal Candidate

Compensation (CAD) - SHORT FORM CONTENT ONLY
- Entry Level: $50/video (You need significant help with direction start to finish or do organizational work only)
- Moderate Level: $150/video (You can craft a rough narrative with decent sound design but need help with picking the best shots, sound effects, etc)
- Sufficient Level: $250/video (You can now take the video from 0-80% with only 1-2 revisions needed in a short period of time. You can craft the story on your own, and have more "intuition" when it comes to making editing decisions. You also can do basic animations)
- Advanced Level: $350-$500/video + Performance Bonuses (You now OWN the edit. You can do everything from assembly to final polish and even add your own creativity. I leave close to zero explicit notes.)

Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of editing experience
- Proficiency in key framing, rotoscoping, masking
- Proficiency in english
Accepted Software
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Davinci Resolve
- Final Cut Pro
- Adobe After Effects (Not expected, but preferred)
- Frame io for review
- Music/SFX sourcing (Artlist, Epidemic Sound, MusicBed, etc)
Hardware
- Computer able to handle multiple 4K timelines, LOG video
- Fast internet for upload/download
- 1TB storage minimum
- Hours: Flexible, but expect to put in real work (20-40/week)
- Location: Flexible but ideally in Canada
- Test Edit: I will provide you with a test project where you will showcase your skills
Pay: $18.00-$50.00 per hour
