Position Summary
AGNORA is looking for a Summer Student Production Operator to join our Cutting Department. This opportunity is ideal for a student graduating high school in 2026 or someone with a minimum Grade 12 education who is looking to gain valuable work experience in a manufacturing environment during the summer months.
Working alongside experienced operators, you will support daily production activities, learn manufacturing processes, and contribute to the safe and efficient fabrication of architectural glass products.
What You'll Do
- Assist operators with daily production activities.
- Handle and move materials safely throughout the department.
- Support the preparation of glass for downstream processing.
- Perform basic inspections and quality checks as instructed.
- Follow work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Participate in department training and orientation activities.
- Report safety concerns, hazards, or quality issues to the Team Lead or Supervisor.
- Assist with general production duties as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 12 education or graduating high school in 2026.
- Available to work full-time throughout the summer.
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
- Previous manufacturing experience is an asset but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials within safe limits.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
