Overview
Seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) part-time at Heart Lake for an elderly male with mid-stage Alzheimer's.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with those living with dementia.
This position is part time and somewhat flexible. Care is already provided but we are now seeking respite.

Scottish Client interests include: golf, rock and roll/folk music, walks outside.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with buying food, preparing light meals
- Administer medications following prescribed guidelines and safety protocols
- Change wound dressings hygienically
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Assist with activities of daily living tailored to individual needs
- Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with family members
Requirements
- Previous experience (PSW cert)
- Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, medication administration
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Flexibility to work part-time hours including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed...to be discussed!
- Certification as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or equivalent is preferred
- Reliable transportation, lives in Brampton, near Heart Lake
